I have been using the shanghai metro for a year and now im using the busses because theres one that goes right to my work. The metro is ridiculously busy and noisy, people using ipads and chatting. Wheras the people on the bus are very quiet even though its equally busy. a strange constrast. i think its because everyone is looking out wheras on the metro theyre looking inwards, so youre forced into a conversation! Just a thought. .

Went with the landlord to the local police station to get my residence permit for moving into new flat. He thought I would get fined 500 quai because I didnt have a contract at the last place and had not registered at an address for like 3 months. So phoned the station before we got there to find out.
When we got there everything went smoothly and I got temporary residence permit easily with no 500quai fine. Great! But when walking back to the flat the landlord says "yeah but you owe…

So theres three people in my flat. The guy that rents out the two spare rooms, one hot rich girl (that steals my food), and me. Ive only been there 2 months and now the guy that rents it wants his friend to move in next month..so guess whos going?..more injustice..not even a discussion about it.
...anyone got a spare room free from 10th october? would like to meet and get to know first. cheers
