Originally I am from Sicily, but I have been living abroad for the last ten years (first in the UK, then Japan, then China). I now work as a translator from Japanese and hope to be able to start translating from Chinese soon - studying the language is main reason I came to Shanghai, and five years ago I also spent a year in Beijing.
Unfortunately, while I love translating, it can be a lonely line of work…I am interested in socializing, dating, generally getting out of the house and possibly networking with other translators. I enjoy working out, good novels and movies, learning languages, and of course socializing with people who share my interests. If we do end up meeting, it’s also safe to say I will be the least “Italian” Italian person you have ever met…oh well.
