ok ok! thanks! i'll try and check those places out sounds like a lot of good ideas. I definitely want styles that are a little different b/c i shop at the regular H&M,Zara and the foreign brands when I'm not in China so when I'm here I like to get stuff that are a little different :D Thanks for your tips dear!

Hi Mai, if you mean 400-500$$ not RMB, then i think you definitely went to expensive places like malls on west nanjing. You can find some unique stuff at Shanxi nan lu, chang le lu, or at YImei(email) plaza near jing'an temple (remodeling at July 8th), Or you can head out to People's Square area, the malls there are ok.

There is also Dimei plaza(underground) for young and trendy stuff. If you want dirt cheap giveaways, you can go 7pu market(wholesale place), but have to deal with massive crowds and prepare your bargaining skills.

Or Taobao.com ( I personally like it...), try H&M, Zara, C&A?

I would say Shanghai has a lot of choices for shopping. Hope you find your favorite soon and let me know if you need more help.

where is a good place to shop in shanghai that's not so expensive? i didn't expect clothes in shanghai to be at least $400-$500 >./body>
