Antidote @ C's Bar, Shanghai
4 Year Anniversary Party
Thursday, September 24, 2009.

DJs: B6, MHP, Ozone, Drunk Monk, Shanghai_Ultra

Music: Same sh!t as always.
Dress: Like you need an antidote.

Food fight after.

* The Antidote celebrates 4 years of complete music madness at C's Bar in Shanghai. This will be the last Antidote @ C's bar. Antidote will continue in other places. Long live C's Bar, we love you!

Every month since the summer of 2005, The Antidote has brought to C's Bar an insane range of music that you could not hear anywhere else in Shanghai. We've had over 100 different DJs and live musicians play at these legendary nights. Some of them were veterans on world tours coming the China for the first time, some were born in Shanghai and made their first public performance right here with us, and are now ready for their own world tours.

We would like to give the biggest thanks to C's Bar for being virtually the only venue in Shanghai willing to give wacky independent music an ongoing platform. It's been a perfect synergy over the years. Antidote's spiritual home will always be in that dark smelly basement, that bug infested broken down box. We hope C's lives for ever and future generations push the boundaries, dance like dummies, scrawl on the walls, screw in the back rooms, and puke in the toilets.

For the final night @ C's, we bring you most of the original line-up: MHP, Ozone, and B6, who founded the thing, Gaz aka Drunk Monk, who was there on the first night and has always been a massive supporter and frequent guest, and Shanghai_Ultra, who been part of Antidote since the early daze. AMNJK and Emcore? We'll be playing their tracks during the night. At the wrong speed, of course, like they always did.

You are going to hear some rare and classic classic Antidote sounds here that you probably won't hear again. B6 circa 2003? Be there. Shanghi_Ultra vs. MHP future trax? Be there. Drunk Monk getting DEEP? Bee therrrrrre.

Bring big pens and cover the walls with your spluge.

Bring condoms for random free cum shots.

ALL the Antidote posters (over 100) will be on display in the Red Room. If anyone is caught stealing one before dawn, security will dunk your head in the men's squat toilet, take a photo, and then you can keep it. Please put it in a nice frame. We'll send the toilet photo to your mum.

ummm, to be honest, he didn't impress me last Sat, made me feel the "unce unce unce" is endliss =[ maybe I left too early. (Banana Monkey in LOgO before sounds better for me, I still hv blacks n blues on my feet bcoz of the mob there).

Nandoo you're right. but I don't know if it was juan atkins or the setup. the dj before him was also playing dope tracks but couldn't mix for toffee. Really bad.

Juan atkins was better but not great. I think the monitor wasn't loud enough. i can't believe after 25 years of djing he wouldn't have learned how. Anyway, amazing tracks, bit at the end when he played strings of life, then time space transmat, then the instrumental to... Cars, I think, then that Kraftwerk track. i had a little spaz-out in the corner.

STOP THE PRESS: Juan Atkins is playing Shelter tomorrow night. Juan Atkins, the man who invented techno music when he released a song called Clear in 1982, founder of Metroplex records, Detroit techno god. Fuck bonbon. See you at Shelter.
