Dec 12th was our 13th Meet and Greet, everyone got into the Christmas spirit.... it was a lot of fun and heaps of great prizes were given away including beer, magazines, toys incl. a large Santa mobile, magnetic dartboard, and more.... we had drink specials on the gluhwein which worked a treat given the recent CHILLY weather....

Want to enhance your spoken Mandarin in a relaxed environment?

Are you tired of being told lao wai can't speak Chinese, and are sick of people assuming you can't understand what they're saying?

Are you up for meeting great people, in a social networking environment (most people are working professionals) and want to regularly chat in zhongwen on a range of topics, over some beers / wine?

Are you Chinese and want to make foreign friends, but speak Chinese to them most of the time?

Come to my events!

BACKGROUND OF CHINESE CHAT FOR SERIOUS ZHONGWEN LEARNERS...
I started the Chinese Chat for Serious Zhongwen Learners group in 2009 (April), it's been going for over 2 years and now have 750+ online members, and an average of 20-40 people attend each event.

I started this group to practice my own Mandarin and to lose the fear i had in speaking it every day. I also hope to encourage like minded lao wai to lose the fear, face it by jiang, jiang, jianging zhongwen every day. Don't worry about mistakes. They will only help you learn! And, we have a great bunch of locals who come and will speak to you fully in CHinese without being patronising, like, "OH YOU HAVE GREAT CHINESE" when you have only just said "NI HAO"!

Any questions, send me a message, hope to see you there!!!!

If you have questions feel free to message me or post on the wall.
如果你有什么问题,可以随时问我,或写下来让大家看看!!

ENJOY!!!

希望我们可以很愉快地参加!!!

Hi Everyone
I am professional Chinese teacher. I majored in Teaching Chinese as a second language in graduate school. And I have taught Chinese to foreigners for over 5 years, so I have abundant experience of teaching Chinese and efficient ways to improve your Chinese. Last year I taught Chinese in America. I had more than 600 students at the same time. They enjoyed learning with me. I can teach from low level to high level, business Chinese and some other special Chinese. I charge 60 to 110 yuan per lessonr for group class and one on one lesson. If you want to have intensive lessons, the price can be negotiated.

Feel free to tell me your advice about our English and Chinese salon. Since it is so popular now and we even don't have enough seat for every comers.  : )

Hi Charles. I thought you enjoyed our salon last time and also made a lot friends there. Thanks for your feedback. You were arranaged to the second salon last time after the Chinese chat just because that day arround 60 people signed up and we didn't have enough place. And now we have 3 hours Chinese time for people who want to learn Chinese. and we played board game in Chinese too. You can come to experience again. Sure we are seriously English learners and also offer free opportunites for foreigners to practise Chinese.
