My name is Amber. I'm from Canada and have been living in China for a little over one year. I love being here and really would like to become fluent in Mandarin. I can ask basic questions and say simple sentences regarding work, where I'd like to go, ordering food, etc. But I really need more practice on listening. I'd like to find a tutor who can help me build from the basics that I already know and improve my ability to understand when it is spoken to me.
I live close to Shanghai, so perhaps we could meet on Skype once or twice a week and I'd be willing to travel to Shanghai on my days off every so often to meet with a tutor.
If anyone is interested please send me a message on this website and we can discuss how to shape my lessons, and what would be more beneficial for my current level.
